Watershed Consulting prepared a Biological Evaluation (BE) on three separate suction dredge mining permit applications on the South Fork of the Clearwater drainage. The BE was completed in response to a proposed activity affecting a species(s) listed under The Endangered Species Act. For this proposed activity, impacts to all salmonids within the drainage were studied including chinook salmon, steelhead trout, bull trout and west-slope cutthroat trout. A level 2.5 geomorphic survey and fisheries habitat analysis were completed and results correlated to the various salmonid life stage and life history impacts.
