    Client: Kootenai National Forest

    Watershed Consulting performed a detailed, integrated Level III survey of 48 pristine watersheds in the Kootenai National Forest. Rosgen stream type, pool frequency and quality, substrate, large woody debris loading, riparian habitat type and macroinvertebrates were surveyed. Permanent cross-sections were installed, and hydraulic geometry analyzed. A comprehensive database incorporating all major variables surveyed was developed for future analysis, and for comparison with modified watersheds that have been altered by various management activities.
