Following major bank erosion caused by 1996 and 1997 floods, Watershed Consulting was contracted to evaluate possible future trends in channel development and bank erosion. Past channel adjustments were analyzed from aerial photography and from fluvial landform configuration. Several alternatives were offered for bank stabilization, stratified by fluvial landform type, substrate and riparian vegetation.
