Fisheries & Aquatic Habitat

Fisheries

Watershed Consulting is experienced with a variety of aquatic environments including streams, rivers, reservoirs, lakes, and wetlands. Our comprehensive services support survey and monitoring, impact assessments, and restoration and  enhancement projects. Similarly, our project work has addressed anadromous and resident fisheries, native/non-native species interactions, and interior special status species.

Watershed Consulting can design and conduct quantitative and qualitative fisheries and aquatic macroinvertebrate surveys for establishing baseline conditions, trend analysis, and to document the presence and/or absence of species. We support compliance activities for many state and federal agencies.  Our professional and technical staff is qualified to operate a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative sampling equipment to ensure proper techniques are used for the field conditions encountered. All surveys are designed to support statistical analysis and employ standard operating procedures based on established Federal and State sampling and analysis protocols. Watershed’s staff can also assist clients with obtaining required scientific collection permits, developing monitoring plans and preparing biological and environmental assessments.
